Who we are
Centurion Care Centre — formerly known as Centurion Hospice — is a community-driven centre rooted in Centurion. We bring people together to give, receive and share care.

To offer warmth, practical help and connection to people across the Centurion community.

We are a meeting point — for volunteers, donors, families and neighbours who want to make a quiet, steady difference.

Friends of Hospice, equipment rentals, the second-hand donation shop, events, markets and community outreach.

Through the generosity of donors, the work of volunteers and the partnerships we build with local supporters.
Our core service: round-the-clock care
At the heart of Centurion Care Centre is specialised 24/7 palliative and home base care — delivered with empathy, dignity and deep understanding for both patients and the families walking alongside them.
What is Palliative Care?
Palliative care is specialised medical care for people facing life-limiting and life-threatening illness — including cancer, heart failure, lung disease, kidney failure, Alzheimer's, HIV/AIDS and more. It focuses on relieving symptoms and stress to improve quality of life for both the patient and their family.
Our team works alongside your other doctors to manage pain and symptoms, provide emotional and spiritual support, aid in communication and decision-making, and connect you with helpful resources. Palliative care is for anyone at any stage of a life-limiting or life-threatening illness and can be received alongside curative treatments.
Unlike hospice care, which is for those nearing the end of life, palliative care can begin much earlier. Our care is rooted in empathy and deep understanding — going beyond physical symptoms to nurture comfort, dignity and the highest possible quality of life.
What is Home Base Care?
Home Base care offers temporary relief for primary caregivers of those with ongoing needs due to illness, disability or aging. It gives caregivers a chance to rest and recharge — which is vital for their well-being.
Home Base care can take the form of in-home care or a short stay in a care facility. It benefits caregivers by reducing stress, and the people being cared for by providing a gentle change of pace in a warm, supportive environment.
We offer flexible home base care services to support the dedicated caregivers in our community.
